Likes: The stove looks great and is easy to use. Once you establish a bed of coals, load the stove with about four peices of wood. When the thermometer indicates 250 degrees, engage the catalyst and slowly throdle down the damper to a point that you can maintain flames on your wood. The stove will be hot in the morning with some coals for easy kindling for your next fire. The heat is just as the manufacturer claims, a gentle even heat.

Dislikes: I can't imagine anyone being unhappy with this stove. My neighbor likes a hot, fast roaring fire. Instant mega heat, as he puts it. You have to allow the soapstone to gradually warm up for about forty five minutes while you establish your bed of coals on your enitial fire. This dosn't concern me and is a small price to pay for that overnight burn.

Comments: The stove is everything the manufacturer claims and more. I visited the factory to put my deposit on my stove and to check out their product. They have nothing to hide. I was permitted to speak to the workers that build the stoves. I asked questions about maintenance and the construcion of the stoves. Needless to say I was confident enough to make an $1,800.00 purchase.
