This is a very well built unit that can put out a lot of heat. It does a very good job of putting out a consistant amount of heat once you set the thermostat. I routinely have overnight burn times with the thermostat turned slightly down. I heat my entire two story home with this stove located in the basement.
While it is possible to get 24 hour burn times or more, the stove is not putting out much heat at that setting and you could not have the fans running or else the catalyst would go out. To heat my house, I need to have the stove putting out much more heat and thus my burn times are about 4-6 hours during the day with the stove set relatively high and about 8 hours overningt with the stove turned down a bit.
Also, I tend to spend too much time just watching the fire and feeling the nice heat given off by the stove.
This is a very good stove. It's fans run fairly quietly. I am amazed at how much heat it can put out and how little smoke it routinely emits. I clean out the ashes about once every 2-3 weeks, but I need to let the fire burn down to ashes before stoking to get this. I may be able to go longer, but it's pretty easy to clean out so I don't normaly wait. The only thing I would change is that I would like it to be bigger, i.e. I maybe should have bought the King model.
