Harman Firepot - but what is this?

    I think it's this insulator: http://www.stove-parts-unlimited.com/Flame-Guide-Insulator-for-Harman-PF100-and-PB105-p/3-44-35263.htm

It fits between that support and the burn pot. It's almost like a firebrick but it's lighter...

Harman Firepot - but what is this?

This is on a PF100 - it keeps the pellets from falling out the sides of the burnpot. I can't find a part listing and mine has fallen apart. Can I use firebox epoxy to put something in place to serve the same purpose OR can someone point me to where I can order one? I'm assuming I have to...

    Help me diagnosis a PF100?

Ah, interesting, thanks. I checked all the junction boxes and the ground had come out of the front, the blower motor had disconnected from the rear. After double checking the owner's manual, everything is now working.

    Help me diagnosis a PF100?

I'll look it over more tomorrow. I have the thermostat hooked up and then using the automatic setting. "4" for the feed and "normal settings" for the other knob. I'll clean it thoroughly tomorrow and go from there. I check all wiring, hooked up the blower and tried to check it using it's...

    Help me diagnosis a PF100?

I put it in test mode, same thing happened. I also tried the blower motor, it doesn't work. (I flipped the switch on the thermostat that screws into the supply.)

    Help me diagnosis a PF100?

I just bought another PF100 to heat my shop, unfortunately, it doesn't work. Here's the deal: I plug it in and switch the main power switch to on The power light comes on the status light come on the combustion motor turns on (which is strange as the barn is about 30 degrees right now) About...

    Harman PF100 burn issues resolved

We used the PF100 all last winter with lows in the -30Fs, keeping the house at 70. The only issue I had was not cleaning the exhaust vent which would caused the pf100 to shutdown - clean it. About a week ago, the pf100 would take a long time to ignite in auto-light. I wasn't getting a...

How much did you burn with your PF100?

I was burning through a ton of pellets every three to four weeks. Granted it was during temps of -15 to -30 and we had the house at 70. If the shaker is frozen you can work at getting it loose with a mallet. You can also take it all apart and clean it (which is what I did). I also used some...

Harman Pf100 feeds and then stops?

Delta was exactly correct. I had cleaned everything in the stove but not the exhaust vent. Cleaned that out and now the pf100 is back. thanks all.

Harman Pf100 feeds and then stops?

Not so fast... After some reading and troubleshooting the light comes on for the feed motor on the control panel, however, the feed motor doesn't come on. I have power to the low pressure switch but not after, which powers the feed motor. If I shut it down, shut off the power to reset it...

Harman Pf100 feeds and then stops?

Okay, turns out the feed assembly was jammed up. Emptied 3.5 bags of pellets from the hopper, took it all apart, cleaned it and we're back in business.

Harman Pf100 feeds and then stops?

Our Pf100 just started doing this: I noticed the house was getting cool and went downstairs to check the furnace. It was out and the status light was flashing. I reset it (turned off main power and then turned it back on). It seemed to work as normal, feed light came on, feed motor turned on...

New to me PF100, install pictures help?

I'll try and take a few pictures of the final install. In short it all had to be made custom (the supply). I purchased all of the 4" exhaust pipe online as no one in my area stocked it.

My experience with a pellet stove vs. wood burning insert vs. pellet furnace

The P38 was in a ranch style home, ideal placement as the stove was at the far end of the home. The pellet furnace and wood burner are in the same home - an 1890s farm house. SolarBrian - Fair enough. Again, our cw2500 is really a budget model and needs the blower to throw heat. I'm sure...

My experience with a pellet stove vs. wood burning insert vs. pellet furnace

I wanted to give my viewpoints after owning a pellet stove (Harman P38), a wood burning insert (cw2500) and a pellet furnance (pf100). Just my experience, I'm not an expert. The following is just what I think, no need to flame :) First off let me preface this by saying I purchased all...

"New" insert install, under $1000 *pics*

I posted a few months ago regarding an older masonry fireplace and installing an insert. In short, we were given a $6000 rough quote which would cover the install costs and the cost of the insert(at the time undecided on the which insert). We had just purchased the house and money is tight so...

New to me PF100, install pictures help?

Sure, these should clarify. For the record, we just purchased this place. The previous owner was...unique? Regardless, duct tape and other oddities you see are a result of his handiwork. I'll be rectifying all of that as I go along. Without further adieu... This is where the PF100 is...

Do you recognize this wood burner?

Exactly right. The seller just sent me a picture of the MFG plate. Coss heating and tested in 1980. I can't imagine it's much, if any, better than a more current Daka type?

Do you recognize this wood burner?

I came across this add-on wood burner. I'm thinking of using it in the shop if the price is right. I can't find any information on it, the seller says it's made by Cross? Does anyone recognize it?
