Pellet stove newbie, steep learning curve

I knew I'd get static for my comment but if lower priced stoves worked like higher priced ones I would go lower also. It took me 4 stoves to figure out which one I really wanted fortunately I could afford the experimentation.

Pellet stove newbie, steep learning curve

All I can say is you get what you pay for. I'm not trying to be negative but my stove doesn't even have a manual damper to adjust. Burns perfectly all the time no clinkers and all I do is set the internal thermostat to whatever temperature I want and I'm done.

Trying to find the right Pellet Stove for me!

You must have a big Ash Hopper. Are you burning 24/7 and get a month of ash out of your Hopper?

Trying to find the right Pellet Stove for me!

I don't understand why people would buy a Harman if you got to clean it every day can you go to do a deep cleaning every ton. I would never burn pellets if I had to go through that. I clean my Reveille every 4 or 5 days and that just means vacuuming out the inside and dumping the ash pan takes...

    Ravelli RV100[c] Owner's Thread - Tips & Knowledge

Yeah that's what I thought so I'm not going to remove mine. My back panel is already cracked horizontally so I didn't really want to remove that it anyway. This is the third year on the Firex and it looks like they will last a lot longer and the new ones are only eighty bucks for a set.

    Ravelli RV100[c] Owner's Thread - Tips & Knowledge

I'm on my third year with the RV 100c. I burn 24/7 starting in November usually to the end of April early may. I do a deep clean which means removing the side panels taking the side plates off and vacuum out the passages. I put a 3-inch shop vacuum in the exhaust tube once a month to suck out...

    Burn Pot Clunkers ?

I know a lot of people of like Harman and other pellet stoves. But my ravelli does it automatically. I'm not saying my stove is the best stove out there but it sure eliminates all of the do I set this at this do I set that at that.

    Burn Pot Clunkers ?

I had an Enviro with a manual fresh air pull Rod to open or close the amount of fresh air into the stove. I would a lot of times get a lot of clinkers. I love my Ravalle because everything is automatic you don't have to manually set anything and I never have any clinkers burning the same pellets...

    Ravelii Roma baffle has fallen

Yeah that baffle is not the same as the one in my RV 100c. My RV 100 C has a tab on the back of the baffle that goes down into an open slot and there's no way it would come out without lifting it. If yours is a new stove it looks like there might be a design change or not. Guess different models...

    Ravelii Roma baffle has fallen

No there should be a tab on the back word fits into an opening so it's secure on the front with slide-in and on the back which fits down into the tab. At least that's how my ravelli rv100 C as its powerful

Pulled the trigger on the Ravelli RV80

Why would you ever do a deep clean except for once a year? Mine runs perfectly throughout the season burning 4 to 5 ton. Anybody that does a deep clean more then at the end of the season is crazy in my opinion. I liken it to people that change their motor oil every 3000 Miles when the manual...

Pulled the trigger on the Ravelli RV80

Wow this is my fifth pellet stove and the Ravelli RV100C is by far the best stove I have owned. Simple to keep clean. Only clean it every four or five days takes 15 minutes. With all the posts about the Harmon's, I don't see why anyone likes them seems like they always have issues

Pulled the trigger on the Ravelli RV80

I'm on my 4th season now with my RV 100c. Always had the temp sensor on the back and never touched it. It always read three or four degrees different from my room thermometer that's 12 feet away from the stove. So this year I moved the stove sensor away but there's only about three feet of wire...

    New and need help!

Sorry to say but that's one ugly install. If your Silicone the joints is no way you should need the tape. I've installed at least five pellet stoves in my house over 10 to 15 years and never had a smoke leak and I'm just a novice.

    Ravelli RV100[c] Owner's Thread - Tips & Knowledge

Well I got the Comfort climate to work but I don't like it shutting the stove on and off. Too much work for the igniter I believe so I disabled Comfort Clima climb on mode

    Ravelli RV100[c] Owner's Thread - Tips & Knowledge

Yeah I use my cell phone to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit. I actually think the Comfort Eco control should have been set at 3. I think that means when it goes three degrees below what you set the temperature at it'll shut down. I'll have to try that again sometime. In three years I never really...

    Ravelli RV100[c] Owner's Thread - Tips & Knowledge

Got the RV 100cc cranked up in eco mode. Only issue I have with Eco Mode is the display shows *F. I assume that's for Fahrenheit but the damn degrees that you set it to I believe is in Celsius only. So I don't know if I got it set right or not. We shall see. I have Eco set on 25 which I believe...

Tesla Model 3 Parked in Our Garage

Yeah carbon-neutral because he get your electricity from a coal-fired electric plant probably. I had a hybrid that got 43 miles a gallon I was happy with it. When I looked at an all-electric car and computer to how much I would save on gas I found out it would actually cost me the same or more...

Anyone else use ONLY their Pellet stove as primary heat source?

I'm in Windham Maine and I start burning whenever it gets cold. I've had my stove on a couple of days over the last month or so. Looks like it's going to get into the forties tonight so I'm going use it later tonight to ward off the chill I the morning. I always burn 24/7 and use 4 tons plus or...

Can someone explain this to me - hybrid/electric vehicle surcharge in WI

Maine's considering a $200 charge. I find it kind of amusing that they want me to buy electric cars they probably uses power from coal-fired plants and then want to charge you more money just to drive it
