    Thumping Noise From Harman P61a

Me too. Been great stove. I replaced BK King with Harmon XXV last May. Except for couple of hickups (Noise on Fan and Poor Air Exhaust in Chimney) been great. We got down to -10f last year and it did the job quite well. I keep wire cloth in pipe that goes thru wall to keep out...

    Thumping Noise From Harman P61a

No Cats or Dogs in House? If so button it up. Could be just noise from Panels vibrating. I had awful noise from my XXV. It was screws impacting the housing of Distro Fan. Shorten screws after I ordered new fan. Hey I got spare parts. All last year it would buzz when cold, then...

    Hearth gloves recommendation.

Stay away from Cheap Ones. Hit any Estate Sales and if you must buy new get some heavy duty ones. Last forever.

    Disposing Of Wood Ashes

I put it in Snow Pile and melting snow puts it in soil. No fire risk that way.

    Thumping Noise From Harman P61a

Is it feeding pellets? I would suspect problem with fines also. No loose pellets in the blower area?

Hate it when the Bugs Come Inside to Get Warm....

No Corn, just pellets. They come in and get to the Windows to look outside and await their fate! Toilet or Stove. We get 5-6 a year in Fall/Winter. When burning Wood got lots more. 2-3 day sometimes. They would be on the Wood waiting for the Summer Feeling. Flame On!

Please give me some catalytic stove recommendations

I had BK King and it was great stove until I replaced with Pellet Stove. It could go all night easily with Pine. Only downside is 3-5 years you have to replace Cat. It put out Great Heat.

Are you happy with your portable generator?

It can do the job. Well and Hot Water together I hope. We are set for any outage. I keep 2 Mid Sized and 2 Small Ones. Enough for few days on and off running. In 2008 this area got really dumped on with Snow. We can handle that if the Diesel holds out. Got 1" today with more...

Are you happy with your portable generator?

I got our present house in 2011. It came with Transfer Panel, but no Generator (they took that). I got Briggs and Stratton 7kW Dual-Mode backup generator unit Model 40248 (newer Model Out) Found out it has Neutral is BONDED to the chassis. Would not work with my panel. Did some surgery...

Harman p68 using excessive amount of pellets

About the same on my Harmon XXV. 20's F outside is good for almost whole bag in 12 hours. 30s F low and it was 1/3 bag last night (8m start until 6am). When it gets about -10f I used up to 2 bags. 4.1 Tons last year, or about 210 bags in Rural Eastern Wa State (Newport WA). Or $1100...

    Chip in harman glass

Make sure you get gasket for it too when you replace. Look into new hardware (hardware store). I replaced my old BK King years ago before I switched. The surface was peppled. Your brown spot looks like somthing that will wipe off with wet paper-towel.

    Harman p35i no flame

Not really. See what else people say before you pop for one. Only time my stove had bad flame was dirty chimney. I had metal fabric in it to stop birds in summer. Left it in. After a while it clogged up and effected the stove. Nasty Black stuff inside and low flame. I take it out...

    Harman p35i no flame

Only after the ESP temperature increases, will the feeder start operating to increase the fire size. Any change you have cleaned the Probe?

    Harman p35i no flame

If the room is warm it will call for less pellets and less flame. Turn it up to 90 and see what type of flame you get. B Question is the stove keeping it warm? Your flame looks like mine when it's in Manual and not needing to produce heat. I also keep mine at 3-4 (3 Feed Rate Right Now) and...

Pellet Stove require maintenance. My Harmon XXV has thermastat and you can control it. Set it for the Temp you Want. If it was me with Guests I would get electric heater for them. But the 1st question is how much money are you willing to spend? I got Floor Model and it cost $3500...
