    Basement or Living room

Do not install it under bedrooms. I had a wood/electric furnace and it was under our bedrooms. It got way to warm upstairs to sleep. I quit burning and eventually sold the unit when I upgraded furnaces. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Does anybody know why?

Apparently they target weaker or stressed trees. Google the EAB and more info can be found. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Tree splitting?

I forgive you lol. Many people including in Ontario think they are in the centre of Canada. However the longitudinal centre of Canada is just east of Winnipeg. Winters can be rough here and growing stuff in this clay soil we have is a chore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Tree splitting?

Not sure what it is. Leaves are all down and mulched already. Leaves on the ground are from the poplars in the background. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Tree splitting?

With winter for 5 months a year here in central Canada nothing grows that fast. We recently had an ice storm that destroyed many trees and took down power lines in most of the southern part of the province. This tree was cracked even before that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Tree splitting?

It’s funny you say it’s young, but I guess being close to 40 years old,in the grand scheme it is young. In the last three years I’ve had to cut down seven cottonwoods as they just died. I’ve got none left now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Tree splitting?

This was going to be my next question as we want to keep tree. I’ll have to figure out best limbs to tie together then. Here’s a pic from further away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

New Dual Heat Expert Soldering Gun Kit - LOL

And here I thought I was the only one that used an antique like this. Still have in plastic case too. I bought mine in the late 70’s when I worked in a bodyshop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Stucco refresh?

Although there is quite a few colours in regular stucco, my guy said I could pick any Benjamin Moore colour out there for the acrylic stucco. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Stucco refresh?

I went through this on a house I renovated. House was built in 1979 and had sections of stucco missing from repairs and such. Not one stucco guy recommended painting it. The company I got ended up doing a base coat on the repair areas first. They came back and put a smooth base coat on...

One for the EV truck fans

That’s been going on since Ford introduced aluminum hoods on the 1997 F150’s. Bodymen take courses but they can only get better with experience. They can work on 300 steel cars then this aluminum vehicle comes in to work on. Hard to get experience on few and far between vehicles. Quite a few...

    New shed, lame stack

Nice shed. It looks to be 6’ wide. How about using 6’ treated fence boards horizontally with 1” spacing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ATV. Is it worth to invest? Look at some ooptions here in CT

I have an 03 400 bought new and still going strong. No issue and hope to never have one. Flywheels updated in 07 and Cat replacements are too. Still cheaper at Suzuki. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ATV. Is it worth to invest? Look at some ooptions here in CT

And they have their issues mostly carb related. I do think that most fuel issues are due to ethanol fuel use and lack of ATV use where they sit for long periods. I don’t use ethanol in any seasonal ride or equipment and have never had a fuel related issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ATV. Is it worth to invest? Look at some ooptions here in CT

Cats more expensive? I didn’t think so! FYI older Cats using the 250,300,400 oil cooled, and 500 liquid cooled use Suzuki motors. Engine related parts can be sourced at Suzuki dealers for around 30% less than at Cat dealers. In order of equivalents they are the Ozark, king quad LY for 300 is...

What to consider buying ATV for hauling wood around property and snow plowing.

I replied in your other thread. I plow with a 2003 Arctic Cat 400 auto. Traction only becomes issue when trying to plow too much snow. I had no issue with original tires but have now installed a more aggressive tire. I have a 60” plow that angles either way. Always plow in low gear if you get an...

ATV. Is it worth to invest? Look at some ooptions here in CT

ATV price seems reasonable but don’t know pricing is USA. Using an ATV to plow is great as I do my driveway which is 250’ long and 12’ wide at beginning widening to 50’ halfway down. One thing you have to remember is you have to be able to plow wider than your driveway at the start because of...

    Bats!

Be careful with them. A 21 year old in British Columbia had an encounter with a bat and swatted it. He ended up dying shortly after as the bat had rabies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Sub Compact Tractors

Back in 2007 I purchased my new NH TZ22DA and love it. Have 60” mower, tiller, FEL, and rear mount snowblower. My BIL recommended rear mount SB as you will need bucket for snow clearing on occasion. I’m glad I took his advice. Didn’t like Kubota’s rocker type forward/reverse pedal as it was...

    got to love Mass government??????

Where I live it’s a $672.00 fine if caught using a “hand held device” while driving. You also get 5 demerits on your license which leads to costing more on vehicle insurance. Never mind the consequences of hitting someone.

Prep the mower / deck for the season? What do u do?

Do all the belt and bearing checks and don’t forget to check for CRACKS! If sharpening blades make sure they are balanced as close as possible. I still have my walk behind from 1985. Blade changes and deck reinforcement where the handle attaches to deck is all I have ever done to it.

can someone tell me what this thing is called?

For me it was usage plus I didn’t need a 20 ton and don’t foresee the need for one. It would definitely be different if I was splitting 4-5 cords a year. My buddy up north has a 6 ton electric and never had an issue with his 3-4 cords a year. He’s had it at least 10 years. Plus I already had the...

can someone tell me what this thing is called?

I was hesitant about the small electric ones until I borrowed one. I ended up buying one and it does what I need it to do. I’ll load it on my trailer with my generator and split wood where I need to.

    Lawn Tractor Info

I’ve got a poor man’s JD called a Sabre. 17hp and hydro and bagger. Bought it in 2001. All I’ve done is change both belts and blades once. Head gasket which developed leak between sump and combustion chamber. It smoked leaning one way only. It’s been a real good machine. This year I may have to...

    Felled my first tree

Just put tension on tow strap to make sure it fell in that direction. I made the cuts to fall that way but tree had quite the lean towards house. Strap was 50 % longer than tree height so no fear of it hitting truck. Sent from my SM-T280 using Tapatalk
