Just got the blower on the LT1k yesterday after raking leaves!

I actually have had plowable snow up north twice this fall (not winter yet) and was out snowshoeing on Saturday up north in Randolph. Unfortunately this storm is mostly down south where some folks have forgotten that it does snow in NH on occasion . I jhave had a dusting so far but expect some tonight. I think the ATV trails are now closed but saw some out with snow chains on Saturday. The ski resorts are full open and the snowmachine folks are getting ready. I saw groomer tracks out on Saturday but they may have just been testing the equipment.

Today’s storm is very different. About 6” so far but at 8:30 am the storm is not over and it is still snowing hard. Yesterday the storm was over at about 5 AM !
I just dug out the driveway and it is covered again.
Weatherman says it will keep snowing until about noon time. This makes the roads even worse this morning than yesterday morning!!

Ahhh just a skiff of snow..LOL... Our best was 4-5 feet in a 24 hour period depending on where you lived in the area... Took days to clear out that one.. After the first 10 hours i gave up on plowing and waited till it stopped.. Took me about 12 hours to clean up after with the skidsteer...

That would shut us down until it melted. Fortunately, it hasn't happened this far south of you. We did get a good dump last February, but that was just like a foot or so and that is pretty uncommon these days.

My sister used to live in Watertown NY. We visited once in January. Kept hearing about all the snow they get, wondered where it all was as we were driving north. About 10miles out, fell in behind 2 plows on the interstate - realized the roads were impassable without those. The next morning, every vehicle known to man was equipped with snow removal gear - garbage trucks, construction eq, tractors, skid steers, dump trucks with the box removed and a 2ton block strapped on. Amazing to watch. 4ft - gone in hours, dumped into the black river, by 10:00, business as usual. Pictures of BIL with the snowblower doing the sidewalk- all you can see is the plume.

I expect with the rain and big warm up most of the snow is gone although I did see on the news on flat roof failure.

We dont get lake effect but on the main streets the place to put snow rapidly disappears so they need to snowblow it into a truck and then haul the truck to a snow dump. The local towns used to dump in the river but EPA stopped it. They have to pile it up some where, surround it with sllt fence and let it melt in the spring. It raised the cost of the plowing budgets even higher than they were before.
