Evening all!
Just want to come here with a question and even advice, Im not sure which is falls under. I've been fighting a 2001 St Croix pepin for about a year now. I was never able to run this stove at the highest settings as it would over fill the pot. I've been up and down this stove. I used a shop Vac the clean air system reversed. I moved to a new house and before installing i used an 80 gallon air compressor in my garage to clean this stove... still never actually getting full potential out of it. The new house is an old farmhouse, no insulation. I could only run this stove maybe at setting 2 ( has 6 ) and it would still fill the pot. I've been all over this stove. One night the combustion fan gave out. I ordered another and installed hoping maybe that was my issue, Nothing. tonight, I removed the ash trap doors for giggles and this stove has never worked so good. I know thats usually a sign that the stove is dirty. I've spent hours removed the combustion fan, vacuuming and cleaning, sending a rod up the as traps on a drill and nothing has really worked or made any differance. I don't know if the old combustion fan was aftermarker or factory but maybe its not moving enough air for the stove? Maybe quality of pellets? I get the green supreme. I know of 2 other stoves that use them from the same exact store that don't have an issue. Maybe this will reach someone, maybe it won't. I went as far as buying a newer stove, but they seem to be to dummied down and throw codes when ran to hot, so i ended up putting it in my moms house.
