There were some questions on another thread about the throw of my old splitter. I measured today while setting up to split some tomorrow & here are the results:

In the open position, measuring from the middle wing to the foot it's 21"

I looked in my owners manual & my JD provides 16 gpm at 2250 psi. My splitter uses a 4X8 cylinder so the cycle time is reasonably fast, in fact it's faster than I can usually reposition the round:

That is a cool splitter. Hydraulics and the lever combined in one simple package.
