Thanks, yes I used a tripod and remote shutter release. The first shot was through my Konus spotting scope.

The settings for the first pic were:

Camera SONY
Model DSLR-A200
ISO 100
Exposure 1/13 sec
Aperture 1.0​

and the second (through 300 mm lens):

Camera SONY
Model DSLR-A200
ISO 100
Exposure 1/80 sec
Aperture 13.0
Focal Length 300mm​

I need to get a better tripod as the one I have now really isn't up to the weight of the spotter. I had to wait several seconds between each shot for it to stop bouncing around. It never got completely steady.
