Forum User Hint About your Signature

  • Active since 1995, Hearth.com is THE place on the internet for free information and advice about wood stoves, pellet stoves and other energy saving equipment.

We strive to provide opinions, articles, discussions and history related to Hearth Products and in a more general sense, energy issues.

We promote the EFFICIENT, RESPONSIBLE, CLEAN and SAFE use of all fuels, whether renewable or fossil.

Update - New Forum Software limits the size as well as the number of links. New members signing up after 9/1/2013 will notice these rules in place. Older members will only run into this if they try to edit their sigs....

BUT, at some point in the future we may remove all signatures and members will have to re-create them with the new standards.

The new rules are for 4 lines (360 characters total)
links are restricted to 2, but most don't use them anyway.
One smilie - no other images.

Note, you can still have LOADS of information in your profile-information, so people can easily surf there just by clicking your username.

Forum Rules for Commercial Members

Here are links to more detailed rules for signatures which have been in effect for 8+ years (since we started this forum).
https://www.hearth.com/talk/wiki/forum-rules-for-commercial-members/

"Signatures: In general, we discourage the use of links to your sales-orientated business or web site in your sig. We will make small exceptions once members have established themselves as long term visitors who are here to help people...as opposed to those looking to promote their product or web site."
