I am looking for help on how to adhere the piece that holds the airtube in place on my Starlit Soapstone stove. i have been told to use furnace cement but that did not last for more than a few fires.

Your pipe moves around a lot when it heats up (expansion + contraction) Is it pulling out or dropping?

Not familiar with the stove. Post a picture of it and maybe somebody will have an idea.

the metal piece that holds the airtube in place came off the side of the stove. It looks like it may have originally been welded on.

For a six pack I'll come over and put more furnace cement on, and repeat the process at the same cost every 3 days.

do you think liquid weld would work. Do not know anyone that can do this except one person who said I would have to bring the stove to his garage. It seems like thre must be an easier way than Disconnecting all the pipework and hauling that heavy stove to his home
