Any feedback on Clear Choice pellets?

My sister and brother-in-law will soon be the proud owners of an Accentra insert. He went to the dealer to pick up some pellets and since they were out of Okies, the other brand they offered was Clear Choice. I should also mention they suggested Infernos (!) which I told him do not touch with a ten foot pole. I told him to just pick up 6 bags and try them out. I think they are a re-packaged something, which in my mind if the were great pellets you wouldn't have to rename them. Not much on the board about them. Anyone burning Clear Choice and what do you think? Sometimes people new to pellet stoves have a heard time figuring out if a pellet is good or bad, so I am trying to help them out. I gave them a couple bags of Turmans and Barefoots to try as well.

There are 2 versions of Clear choice. Softwood and Hardwood blend. I am pretty sure these are the same as CleanFire offered by woodpellets.com (cleanfire hardwood blend and cleanfire pacific). Just in a different bag to sell at stove dealers. I checked out a local dealer to see if I could get a few to try. But when he said $7.50 a bag? I just walked out!

I'm burning them right now.I have the softwood blend.Last year i burnt Lignetics(green label) and find these burn hotter.I was told i would burn more of these but because they are hotter i'm able to turn my pellet feed down and still keep the house warm.

I bought three tone of Cleanfire from Woodpellets.com and I like them, they burn pretty hot and the ash is not bad. The only bummer is I paid $249 per ton. Stove Chow and Hardwood Heat burn just as hot for me for less money but i found them to late or I would have saved a few bucks.

I ordered 2 pallets in October at $275 a ton delivered which comes out to $5.50 a bag.Around here that's about average

Thanks for the feedback. I will pass it on to them and then see how the pellets burn in the Accentra. The temps on Monday, when they're getting the stove, will give them a good test.

I just bought a ton of them today for $239, and I heard it from the Horse's mouth so to speak.
According to Corey at woodpellets.com they are CleanFire Hardwood.
Just in a different package so the dealers can sell them.
Aparently though they have discontinued the program.
I like the CleanFire hardwoods. Good heat, low ash.
I'll let you know how these are after I burn my first bag.

I bought a few tons of the CleanFire hardwoods a few years ago, and at the time was told by WoodPellets that they were just re-bagged NEWP. Things may have changed since then, though.

Corey told me that they use multiple suppliers NEWP is one of them. He also mentioned that some come from Virginia, but they have atleast 5 suppliers.
However they monitor exactly what raw material is used, and they have strict quality standards. If a batch doesn't pass their testing requirements, it doesn't go in a clean fire
or clear choice bag.
