I currently have Vonage at $34 per month. Consumer Report has listed Ooma at # 1 and Vonage at 5, Ooma has no monthly billing. Just the sign on fees and yearly taxes.
I am concerned about incomming calls. If someone doesn't have unlimited calling, are they apt to get a long distance fee for calling me?

I don't know about the Oooma but we have been using an Obi system for over a year with great results. The unit has a one time charge of $50, and there are no monthly fees. You have to have a Google Voice account to make it work. We were able to port our home telephone number from Vonage to Google Voice.
