I have read every post on this forum, thanks for all the info. I have Whitfield Quest stove that I have been burning for 4 years, about 3 tons annually and I follow all maintenance info on this site including leaf blower
About a week ago I heard a squeal coming from auger as it turned (every 4th turn or so) I figured some fines in the auger so I ran it empty and vacuumed it out. Also shot some dry lubricant on it
Seemed to fix problem for a week. Now when I start up stove it will squeal for about 5 minutes until it gets warmed up then it's fine
any thoughts or ideas?
is my auger telling me something?
