Hello

Well, this is the 4th season with the Astoria and being a cold night is when it happens! Started the stove and a few Maine's Choice Premium Hardwood pellets dropped into the burn pot and that was it! Auger tried to turn and stopped. Same pellets as last year and we had no problem. Not many fines and no dampness. So maybe the stove is tired?

I bailed out all the pellets, dropped the auger motor and turned the shaft and got all the pellets out. The shaft turned freely, so I installed a brand new auger motor. Counter Clockwise rotation looking in from the back of the stove of course. Then I removed the auger flight cover and cleaned well, lubricated the upper and lower brass bushings with Tuff Oil Lubit-8, then put Dry Moly Spray on the inside of the auger cover and sealed back up.

The flame looks better than before! Will that fix it?
