Hello, I have a St. Croix Afton Bay Pellet Stove. I bought it in 2001. Stove works fine. I noticed this morning that a piece of the brick surround has broken off. I found the part online (for $200), but in the meantime it's really cold in PA! Can I burn the stove as is until the part comes in? I called a stove shop and they said it is fine, but thought I'd check for a second opinion.

Please advise.

Happy New Year!

Mike

They make a metal replacement which I have in my stove, and recommend. I think you could run the stove as is, but I would avoid running it on high.
