that is cool looking stove. What time are you keeping it at ? I am trying for 600 degrees but the it goes up and a little down and I am tempted so I then open the back themostat which seems to be a damper kind of thing that has a special metal on it so that set where you want and it will close when hot and open as it cools but I have been doing its job because it is 64 in here and would like it to get to 70 so playing, it is our first burn in this old baby used by man and wife like second parents to me. The bought a newer bigger one for a bigger home so this was out in garage for a long while so gave to me. NOT cheap getting it installed but great install I think.

Nice secondary burn! I do miss my Castine, it's an awesome stove. Sold it to buy a pellet stove, no time for the wood routine. Good luck!

AHHH! That reminds me, I saw pellets @ Wal-mart for $6.50 a bag the other day. That is is only double the cost of Natural Gas daily. I did the Pellet thing, it's not for me, I thought it was until the price kept increasing.

Great pics! The Castine is a wonderful stove.

Yeah - I bet somebody is making good use of that Stove. Well, she only runs when it gets very cold so she has not seen a fire yet this year.

Thanks Ken
