Forecast in the Northeast will hit near 50 degrees on Sunday.

I plan to do my first sweep/inspection and since I've never shut down before, how long does it take to cool everything down enough for cleaning?

When should I stop feeding it wood if I plan to clean it out Sunday afternoon?

My sweep usually comes early morning so I let fire go out in the evening before and everything is fine in the morning. Doesn't take long for the flue to cool down here.

I'd just say don't build a fire in the morning and you will be fine for an afternoon clean.
