I was just wandering around YouTube this morning, and stumbled on some folks who put color-generating pine cones in the fire.

Thought it might be a neat idea for Christmas eve............

Do you think by using a few of these, I'm promoting any "issues" (creosote enhancing) with the fire or the stove, or whatever?

Naaa...not really. They use a small amount of chemical or compound to create the different colors, some that burn VERY hot (clean burning??). You would have to fire off a bunch of them to really be of any concern.

I think its basically the same stuff that is used in the making of fireworks.
