So this home we purchased had a hearth that is stone a type of sand stone i think not the kind that falls apart when you touch it but a sand stone none the less and its dirty from past use and present drywall work being done in great room has left it looking dull and really awful questions are elbow grease and mild soap or is there a product that cleans hearth up nicely and brightens it up it has a few stones that look as if a product was tryed to give it a wet look not sure if i like that look but with only half dozen or so stones looking wet it doesnt look right, thanks for any help

Did mine with Greased Lightning. Used a small brush and wiped up with old rags.

TSP, wear gloves.
