I have read some here have used these and found more ash buildup or plugging. I just noticed that the catalytic for my stove is over half the price of the honeycomb type. My stove takes ones are well over $300 anywhere I look.

Is the ash buildup partly a function of stove design? My cat is suspended in the stove top and fairly easy to remove for cleaning. Usually clean the honeycomb style twice a year now.

Thanks, didn't realize the two were the same product.
