Does anyone have one of these types of heaters?

What would make this $150 + unit different then lets say this

What would be the electric cost difference if any? I have an oiled filled for my bedroom, I must say that it is not cheap to run.

Watts is watts. A fan might circulate the heat better in some rooms, but the energy consumption will be the same or a skosh worse due to the power needed by the fan in addition to the heater.

This one will be just as effective

+1
Infrared types produce radiant heat that is good for heating nearby objects (not air) quickly. We use one in our bathroom for short periods of time.
The oil filled units are better suited to longer term room heating and both convect and radiate heat.
Probably an oversimplification I know.
