I’d like to set the stove to heat only if it goes below 58 deg while I’m at work (I have dogs). It seems like the only way to do this is to install an external thermostat. Has anyone done this who could walk me through the steps?
Bonus points if you’ve also connected it to a Google Nest or equivalent!

Thank you. This sounds like it will only call for heat if it gets below 58 deg, and I would have to manually change the thermostat if I want it to call for heat at, say, 62 deg. Is that right?
What if I want to run a schedule: during the day I want it to call for heat at 58 deg, and when I’m home I want it to be warmer. Can I run this schedule on the existing screen or do I have to install something like a Google nest?

One other way is perhaps to hook the stove up to a wifi smart plug. Then you could turn it on from anywhere. You'd need to keep it running after that though.

Weekly: The Weekly Mode allows you to control and schedule the stove operation during set times and days throughout the week. You can select four different operation times for each of the seven days of the week. During the Weekly operation mode, the stove will run in a very similar way to "Temp" mode. Part of the weekly schedule program includes a desired "call to" temperature. See the "Set Data" section for more information on programming the weekly schedule

See above. This I believe is a manual operation and the stove will keep running.

The best would be a programmable wifi thermostat like a Nest. Any programmable cheap thermostat should work as well.
