I didn't know how many people knew about this tool for CL (since it's a fairly popular place to look for goodie deals)

More or less you enter what you are looking for and your zip code and you can search all of Craigslist based off of miles from your zip code (adjusted by a slider to the left of the page) rather than broken up into separate regions.

Maybe old news to most people, but I haven't seen reference to it yet on the site.

www.searchtempest.com works in the same way. Comes in handy when searching in the Northeast (lots of states close by).
 
Thanks..I didn't know there was a way around searching city-by-city.
 
Based on the title, I thought it was going to be a funny story about some fool posting something on CraigsList.
