Question:

What is the creosote buildup like from burning sweetgum wood? It is to be burned in a wood furnace.

Answer:

As long as the wood is properly dried and seasoned (about a year)- one species will not produce a lot more creosote than another. Burn smaller loads hotter to reduce creosote on an ongoing basis...and, of course, read the tips on burning wood elsewhere on this site.
