Disappearing Drolets

I was looking to purchase a Drolet 1400 insert from northerntool, but today when i looked on their site they are no longer availabe. It was around 600 bucks plus 100 for the faceplate. I had read good things about this stove. Anyone know of any other no frills, quality inserts in this price range?

I'm not sure why Northern Tool dropped the Drolet line, they must be on some pretty powerful crack! :bug:

I emailed Northern Tool asking them if they would be restocking any time soon. Their response was that they would be again in the fall. They don't stock them over the summer because it is a seasonal item. I'm afraid the demand might be huge come next fall because of oil prices.....

I think ACE Hardware stores can order Drolet stoves for ya. Give them a call.

I called ACE and apparently it's the place! They didn't specifically say they have Drolets but they did say they can order inserts.
I'm gonna take a cruise down and see what they have. Thanks for the tip!
