Does anyone know if you can burn pellets in an older Grain Comfort stove?

A co-worker of mine has an older Grain Comfort stove and he was talking about switching to pellets or if it was safe and possible on his stove. I told him he might have to buy an attachment or something but would see if any of you folks might know. He said it is a grain only or was supposed to be grain only when he purchased it who knows how long ago. He won't have access to 'free' corn next winter and wants to burn pellets. Year after next he will get a portion of his crop so will be back in corn then.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I will try to drag him in here or his son who has both a corn and a pellet burner.
