Hi there,

I've had my ECO 45 for over 10 years and I started having lil' problems with it. I heard moaning and groaning noises and determined it was the Combex blower so I replaced it with a new one. 😫

That worked well until fuses started blowing. I replaced the TWO combustion fans. It no longer blows fuses but won't operate past the "1" setting for very long before the HIGH LIMIT SWITCH (L250) shuts off.

I have cleaned behind the panels in the burn box, the whole burn box, heat exchange tubes, baffle...on and on and on. Inspected wires and nothing is melted. I even bought a new igniter which I haven't installed yet (old one is working). 🤷‍♀️

Could this be a blockage in my chimney? I swept it out in the fall. 🤷‍♂️
Could this be combustion fans blowing the WRONG WAY? (they currently blow into the burn box).😕
Could this be faulty high limit switches?

What do ya'll think?

The combustion blower sucks air from the stove, and blows it outside the house. The room distribution blower takes air from the back of the stove and sends it into the room.

So aside from the Combex blower which is working flawlessly, both combustion fans (small, square "computer like" fans) should be pointed toward the burn box direction blowing, essentially, "into" the burn box & heat exchange tubes?

See page 44. That is the exhaust blower. It can only be installed one way.
Those other fans must be the room fans. They blow air towards the front.

I am having a hard time understanding your fan setup! All modern pellet stoves
use a firebox set up as a vaccum air is pulled into the stove past the burn pot through
The heat exchanger by the Combustion fan the blowen out the exhaust(chimney)
As to the overheating on heat level 1, I can only speculate that the computer has allowed
the magic smoke to escape
