So, I finally was able to start burning in the furnace yesterday. It was 107 degrees in the furnace room after a couple small fires to cure the paint...I have most of the the air just dumping back into the room until the paint baking smell lessens a bit. Anyway, I was a little suprised at the air leaking from the seams around the furnance. I should have realized it, I guess, but wasn't expecting it. Has anyone here unscrewed any of the plates, added caulk/stove cement, and reinstalled the plates?
