There was a full solar eclipse yesterday, visible in Australia. It reminded me of the one we had here on May 20th of this year. My son and I took our cameras, found a great spot to view, and took a few dozen shots. My battery failed a couple minutes in so we worked together, he manned the camera and I held two pairs of sunglasses in front of the lens to attenuate the brightness enough to stop the cam from overexposing everything! Some of them came out great, including this one. Look at it full size... very eerie... the proverbial "Eye in the Sky".

It will be several hundred years before the US sees one again.
