Fan Motor Rheostat

I have a QF 3100 and purchased it with the blower and accompanying switch. The rheostat in the switch, allowing variable speed on the fan, went bad last year. I made it through the late Winter just using the fan on "high". It is either off or runs full blast.

I called my QF local dealer to get a price quote and they wanted $150 for the QF blower control box and switch. This seems outrageous for a simple switch and plug!

It's just a wall plug > short length of cord > simple rheostat knob > cord to the blower itself.

Any alternative solutions to this?

Here is a possible alternative. Not sure if it has an Off position or not. Check with Northline.

Or open up the control box and get the mfg and part number off the existing rheostat.
