What fan settings do you use on your leyden? I have been using mostly first red. Am I going to pay for that with the electric bill?

Yes, obviously the higher the fan setting, the more elect. is being used, but you can figure out what the MOST it could be by looking in the manual....they usually have the watts used for start-up, and for regular running. I'm assuming the normal wattage figure is the max it will be.

According to my Astoria manual, it used approx. 180 watts running "normally", and approx 400 during start-up.

BTW, I used to use the same setting for the fan, as i did for the heat. If I had the heat on 2nd yellow, fan was the same, (or even 1 notch higher) etc, etc.
