Hello

My Avalon Astoria has a 110 VAC convection fan at 60 cycles/sec which is 165 CFM at line voltage.

The Avalon Tech Service guy says the control board drops the voltage for each fan speed as shown below:

Fan
Speed Volts AC CFM
6 110 165
5 105
4 100
3 90
2 85
1 70

Is it possible to calculate the CFM at the lower fan speeds??

Hello J

Thanks.

Did you take a ratio because I was not sure if we should start with 110 or 120 volts?

That is probably a good estimate.

Thanks again.

I used a ratio to proportion and the 110 volts.

A more exact answer would be if you took the house current supplied voltage. Probably not going to get 120 volts.

165 X
___ = ___

110 70 X=105

Find X to get the answer for 70 volts. You could put your house voltage(were the 70 is) in to get your high speed

Example:
I multiplied 165 by 70 and divide by 110 to find X

(165x70) divided by 110
11550 divided by 110 =105
