flame towards door

Is there a particular direction the flame should go? Mine seem to be going towards the door/window... It seems like it should go up towards the tubes...
 
Sounds like the door might not be sealed properly. Some models are adjustable like my older harmon, some times I have to tighten it when the flames are moving towards the glass. Also check your fireproof seal. Good luck.
 
I have done the paper test and I can not pull it out from any spot. What is funny, when I open the door the flame straightens out. Not sure what that means, but...

Maybe it isn't getting enough air and what you are seeing as the flame heading for the glass is an angry lazy fire.

When did you last clean the stove.
 
The stove is clean. The flame looks very lively so I don't think it is a air problem.
I guess it is not a problem, just wondering if it effects the heat... it doesn't seem to be
