I've watched those videos many times - he was quite a man. Imagine going into the wilderness like that and living there for 30+ years (can't remember exactly how many it was) and making it work as well as he did. Everything he did was done by hand using non-powered tools and methods that most have never seen before. I believe he was 80+ years old when he finally determined that is was time to move back to civilization and live the rest of his life. I think we all sometimes dream about doing something like that but then reality takes over (kids, college funds, mortgage payments, etc...) and we have to get back to business.
