The Navy Band!

Yup...lots of talented young men & women. The other services' bands ain't too shabby either.

Even back in military school, the band had a very special status. It was truly being a rock star......they lived very differently then the rest of us! Most of their time was playing and practice. I guess it's a time honored tradition.

But I do think more of the Navy when I think of bands...so does Martha, who was a orchestral drummer in school. Somehow a band playing when the ship arrives seems more romantic than when a jet comes in.....or a tank.

Marine Corps Marching Band will blow your socks off.
