I am making some revisions to an ice fishing sled I have and want to make some rod holders out of PVC. I have seen other sled using PVC, but I know certain types of PVC break like glass when exposed to cold. So I need to know what type to get.

The other issue with a lot of PVC is that it can be damaged by UV exposure over time... I think the gray stuff is OK in this regard, but I'm not sure - see if the grading stamps on it say anything about UV resistance...
