Frogs probably burn less wood in the winter

I've always been a big fan of frogs -- all manner of amphibians, really -- and have read about this ability to freeze solid and cease all vital functions, but have never actually seen it in action.

I always wondered about frogs hibernation habits. That vid is cool thanks for sharing!

My herpetology professor showed us a frozen wood frog thawing out. Groovy stuff! Herpetology is the study of reptiles and amphibians, not herpes, BTW.
