Feeling the Heat

Two days ago it was 70 degrees and last night, single digits! Glad I had a few days worth of wood brought up to the porch. Supposed to only be in the teens today. Any other Arkies on the forum that get to enjoy our unique weather patterns here? Well at least Phil didn't see his shadow today so it'll be an early spring !

I agree, two days ago it was in the 70’s – last night it was 19.

So much for global warming.

Two weeks ago -58f. It rained here today 42f. Last winter it only dropped below -22F twice. Spruce beetle is running rampid.

Maybe not global something but sure is northern something.

Manitoba Merv saw his shadow today, so that means 6 more weeks of winter here. If it was ONLY 6 more weeks of winter, that would be wonderful!
But it's supposed to get to 0 by the end of the week, sweet.

Not much snow up there in AK, we have about 3 feet on the ground here and more to come.

Global warming is alive and well! Just because one room of the house is cold, doesn't mean the whole house has to be.

•For 2010, the combined global land and ocean surface temperature tied with 2005 as the warmest such period on record, at 0.62°C (1.12°F) above the 20th century average of 13.9°C (57.0°F). 1998 is the third warmest year-to-date on record, at 0.60°C (1.08°F) above the 20th century average.

Depends where in Alaska.
From several feet in some Mt passes (Valdez area gets it over there homes some years), to none in the SE panhandle (Seattle like weather there),
I have 3" in the yard, got 1" last night.
