I don't think turning it up to 7 (90 deg) will make a difference. I would set it at 70. If the stove is calling for more heat it won't matter whether it's at 70 or 90. Set at 90 you may over heat the space and that would be a waste of pellets.

I run it in stove mode. And preset it before bed. My room mode doesn't seem to work. So I'm concerned it might run out. It's a manual light, and the only time I used it on room mode it shut right off after turning it from 82 to 75. No cooling off, 15 minutes later all fans were off.
p 61A here,, I put it on 70 on super cold nites but also burn top softies so they tend to stick around for a while. either way gonna chew up pellets .. by morning my hopper is pretty low... this happens during super windy cold nites..

Well I'll find out tonight. I've improved the insulation, just don't want to run out of pellets before i wake up. I don't recall how much I used over the course of an 8 hour nap. I ran it last year at 7 over night. Again that was last year at these temps. Powers back on thank God. Based on setting on 5 running it over night, it going to be close. 5 keep it warm down to 12-15f. Haven't had to run it any hotter yet. Stay tuned film at 11. 😁
As of 5am running on 6, it was 1f, wind chill around -10. It burned about half a bag. Temp inside front 78 back 70. The insulation job worked. I'm happy. 😁 The front thermometer is only 10 feet away in the newly insulated old part of the house. The back is 20 feet away in the 1980s section. I need to improve the air movement, but it's a win any way. 😁 That's 2 bags in 24 hours. Not too bad. One last comment. If it gets any colder in the back, the Quadrafire is set to come on at 68, or I just turn it on when I get up. Which I did for half an hour to bring it up to 74ish.
