hello everyone. I have a question about the harman pf100. Could someone give me a ballpark figure of the cost of hooking the furnace to the duct work. I am under the impression that this part of the installation needs to be done by an hvac company. Thanks.

My Harman dealer installed my PF100 in the middle of October. I tried to get someone
to do the ductwork, but either they didn't follow up or they were charging a
lot for the ductwork. The only two quotes I was able to get were $1200 and $1500
with manual isolation dampers. This amounted to 1/3 to almost half the cost of
the PF100 itself for 20 feet of sheet metal and labor.

I wound up doing my homework for duct sizing, CFM, fan speeds, etc. and did
the work myself. I spent about $300 for the materials and another $75 for tools
and supplies (tin snips, aluminum duct tape). Of course, I didn't count the value
of my time, but it was raining that weekend and the Penn State game wasn't on TV.

Hail

PF100
