Hello Boiler Friends
I am involved in a project that I could use some advice on. My system calls for 103000 BTU of heat. the system is a supply return piping arrangement. To figure head do I add up all of the 1" supply return piping, valves 90's manifolds etc. ? Here is where I am now:
110,000 BTU boiler

first pump 4 circuit. manifold with 4-330' 1/2" pex underfloor 73' 1" supply ,73' 1" return pipe

second pump 11 circuit manifold with 11- 330' 1/2pex underslab 68'1" supply, 68' 1" return pipe

Is this correct ?
15 outlets @ 110,000 BTU = 11outlets @ 80603 BTU

80603 /10,000 = 8.06 GPM
8.06/11outlets =.7327 GPM/circuit

330' of 1/2" pex x .03 = 9.9 ft of head @ 8.06 GPM for pump# 2? Do I need to separately figure the head and gpm of the supply return pipe and all of the valves to this. any help in the right direction would be helpful.
T-boy.

The 1" was included in the calculation I did for you.
