Hello World.
Searched the forum and got some information on my issue but no concrete solutions.
Enviro Meridian insert brand new/installed Nov. 2023. About a month of service in a high pitch squeal started from being the surround. After removing the surround, I easily identified the source as the rotating rotor of the exhaust blower. Verified because when I touch the spinning rotor the pitch of the noise changes.
Side note: there is some oil/lube/liquid i on the floor of the stove around the exhaust blower. The liquid looks like it was splattered out from the rotating shaft..

Is this noise normal/common? Failed Bearing? Warranty issue? 3 n 1 oil on the rotor?

Thanks for any insights on the issues, if you’ve experienced it or have any solutions!

I've had Enviro for 23 years and only changed the combustion fan once
When I was an Enviro tech I can only remember changing 3 fans in 15
years . Just the luck of the draw You have bought a tried and proven stove
It replaced the ef 3 which is one of my stoves

I think I have the same issue, been running around crazy to find the hight pitch sound. Last year I converted my Quadrafire trekker from Bluetooth to wired, and have had no issues. Now it is making a high pitch noise even when its off... could that be true first of all? Once I took off the side panel and looked around an tapped the blower and exhaust, it is still making noise.

The combustion blower will run till the stove cools off so more than likely it’s the exhaust motor that needs replacement

The odd thing is that it is squealing all night even when its off for hours.... Could it be an airflow thing. I called my company to have the chimney cleaned. Its running fine now just that high pitch sound. If they determine its the blower than I can fix it myself. I already took it off last year and cleaned it. Thanks again and have a great day.

Sounds like a triac shorted closed, still feeding power to the motor. Get some electrical tape, unplug stove, disconnect the exhaust motor wires and tape them all. See if the noise goes away. You may need a blower motor and a control board
