This is a cool animation of the Roman construction of the Gades Aqueduct in Spain. It's a sophisticated and well-made system that delivered fresh water for centuries. They did hundreds of these throughout Europe. I've been to the Pont du Gard aqueduct that is still standing today. It is a marvel of engineering and durable construction.
