need some help does anyone know if there is a cat in this model
(broken link removed to http://madison.craigslist.org/hsh/1508639279.html)

the guy cannot find the model tag on it and doesnt know much about it he said it was 8 years old but it looks much older than that. old manuals from bk's site shows they made models with and without cats.

I agree, looks like a 302. Blaze King has old manuals available online. A cat stove should have a handle on the right side of the stove to engage the cat.

According to Blaze King, not all the catalytic models are EPA approved. They made three catalytic stoves, the KE1100 and PE1000 and PE1001 before the official EPA requirements. The first EPA model was the KE1101 and PE1002.
