We are trying to see if we can fit the Jotul 550 in our fireplace.

The back of the fireplace is 22". The Jotul manual minimum rear width is 24".

But the Jotul is only 18" deep. And 17 1/2" back in my fireplace is 24".

So we are off by 1/2".... before I pick a different stock, does anyone know of a solution that will allow us to use the Jotul 550 ? Extension kit like the VC Montpelier ? ?

Thanks.

Sounds like it will be close. Speak with your Jotul dealer. Perhaps they could install a 1" spacer shim to bring the surround forward enough to clear. The C450 looks like it would fit for sure.
