I thought this was pretty cool. The idea is to create a living space for one person with the minimal environmental footprint. It's quite nice, better than some boat interiors I've seen.

I like it and think one could easily adapt to such a life. I think it would go well beyond environmental impact and even increase the physical activity of those living in such a place. The home would truly be the shelter and sleep area. Having a family would be impossible in there, but triple the size and I bet you could almost do the same thing for a 3 person family.
 
Something tells me a guy would not have to worry about a family if he lived in the cube.
 
You'd be surprised. In Tokyo that rival's some apartments. There are a lot of places on the planet with many people living in a small room. I've known families that live on boats with not a lot more space.
 
I saw this homemade trailer a few towns over back a few years. Neat way to travel. Prolly not a small footprint on gas. Last time they were in the area, they stayed in one place for a little bit though. I love the fuse panel and knob and tube wiring.

I don't see anyplace inside there for a wood stove. Quite the minimalist living.
