So I finally finished up the install this morning, and the inspector comes tomorrow. Assuming all goes well I plan to run the thing tomorrow evening. Since there doesn't seem to be anything in the manual about it, what kind of temps should I be shooting for for break-in, and normal operation?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

My Jotul says to run a fire to 200 degrees and let burn for an hour... allow the stove to cool and run at 300 degrees for an hour... allow to cool and then run for an hour at 400 degrees.

Thanks Steve.

I believe your Jotul is cast, whereas mine is steel. I wonder if there is a difference on breaking them in?

Mike

Don't know... mine is also enamel if thet makes a difference...? :-S
