This is an absolute beautiful Original Malm Imperial Carousel fireplace in gorgeous condition. This Imperial Carousel Mid-Century Malm fireplace give you a 360° view of the fire inside! It has the iconic tulip base with a porcelain color that fades into brown with a cone top. This wonderful design makes an impact inside or out that gives warm comfort all the way around!
The base is 46"h x 42"Diameter & with the 2 Flue pipes @ 30" ea, when put together the pipe is 60" with additional spark arrestor of 8 inches. It has Original glass and fully functional with no structural rust
We've used it for three years and remodeled our back entertainment area which unfortunately no longer will accommodate. I am the second owner it was originally located in a cabin in Prescott Arizona and has spent only the last three years outside in Phoenix. I had a custom cover made and protected it from the elements. In a summer it was stored inside the garage. All original glass which is rare, It is a classic MCM piece that is a great find. It is gorgeous, no porcelain chips and is truly a heater for your outside area. It has a thick steel plate in the dome ceiling that forces the flame around the perimeter to siphon out the smoke trapping the heat so it doesn't just go up the flu pipe and that steel lid heats up like a cast-iron stove so it really is not the porcelain metal that is radiating the heat, it is that heavy steel dome inside that radiates and retains. If you have never seen a MALM Carousel draw and circulate air, it is mesmerizing to see the cyclone effect with the door cracked open creating a draw that circles the fire it is beautiful. I surely will miss it!
